It’s comparable to neighborhoods like the Upper East Side in New York and Leblon in Rio de Janeiro. Recoleta neighborhood is one of the more affluent and safe districts in Buenos Aires. This downtown residential area has great historical and architectural interest making it an important tourist destination and a cultural center of the city. Recoleta’s French-inspired brownstones are located around the corner from some of the city’s finest designer boutiques, art galleries, elegant restaurants and a robust cafe culture. Bounded by the city geographical center and San Telmo to the east and ultra-trendy Palermo to the west, you'll be surrounded by beautiful parks and green spaces such as Plaza Francia, Floralis Generica and Thays Park offering many activities: botanic garden, zoo, picnic areas, bike paths and concerts. Welcome to unique Palermo, the largest barrio or neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Is a hot destination whether you’re a foodie, an art fan, a shopaholic or a plain old reveller. An influx of expats helped put it on the map, but gradually locals have begun to call it home. Rock up for a fine blend of culture and cool. The apartment is located in the trendy neighborhood of Palermo and specifically on the traditional Av Santa Fe between Salguero and Julian Alvarez. The neighborhood is where the best restaurants and bars in the city open.
For daily purchases there is a 24-hour Carrefour Supermarket less than 100 meters away and Farmacity (24-hour Drugstore). If you want to cook, you have a Fishmonger that is only 50 meters away called "Ostramar" and it is a local jewel where the neighborhood buys fresh fish. Also on Saturday mornings we recommend to buy in Local Fruit and Vegetable Fair in Las Heras Park (3 blocks) on Salguero street. If you want a bite or top quality cheeses / cold meats, do not forget to visit Kalimnos (100 meters).
Palermo has different foodies centers and are located only a few blocks away, so consider yourself in the middle of a great Palermo neighborhood.
Wide range of first class restaurants such as those located in the center of Av Cerviño (5 minutes walking) where the Birkin cafeteria, the Italian restaurant "Trattoria Olivetti" and Pastas "Il Quotidiano".
Also Palermo Soho/ Hollywood is 10 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes walking is Palermo Soho/Hollywood with amazing restaurants like Sushi "Osaka"; Thai "Sudestada", Peruvian "Tigre Morado", just restored "El Preferido" and traditional grills from Argentina such as "Don Julio"; "La Cabrera" and "La Carnicería". Other restaurants in Palermo Hollywood such as "La Mar" for Peruvian food; the new veggie “Las Flores”; gourmet coffees such as "Cuervo" and "Lattente"; amazing burger joints like "Williamsburg" and "Burger Co."
